As part of the preparations for NASA’s SpaceX Crew-6 upcoming mission to the International Space Station (ISS), the crew visited SpaceX headquarters in California and appeared in their spacesuits for the first time.
UAE’s astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi has been pictured with his SpaceX spacesuit on for the first time with three other members of Nasa’s SpaceX Crew-6 team that will embark on a six-month mission to the International Space Station in 2023.
The Mohammad Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) on Wednesday released photos of Al Neyadi in a Extravehicular Mobility Unit spacesuit along with Crew-6 team.
Crew-6 involves AlNeyadi, Mission Specialist, William Hoburg, Pilot, Andrey Fedyaev, Mission Specialist, and Stephen Bowen, Commander.
In the picture shared by MBRSC, the four are seated inside the SpaceX Dragon crew ship during a training session at the company’s headquarters in California.
Sharing the picture of him along with the crew, Al Neyadi tweeted: “A nice picture of the SpaceX Crew-6 at the historic launchpad 39A, the place where Saturn V and Space Shuttles took off from. From the left Russian cosmonauts Andrey Fedyaev, Pilot Warren Hoburg, Commander Stephen Bowen, and myself. Very proud to be working with this great crew!”
