Arjun thrilled over ‘Kuttey’ trailer response

Actor Arjun Kapoor is thrilled with the response he is getting for the trailer of his upcoming film ‘Kuttey’. He said that people want to see him push himself to perform.

Arjun said: “It is really encouraging to see that people, media and the industry loved the trailer of Kuttey and are excited to see me in this film. I have realised that people want to see me push myself to deliver a credible performance.”

“It happened with me in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and I can see the same love coming back to me with Kuttey trailer.”

He added: “Whatever people have seen is only a glimpse to what my character does in the film or what really happens in Kuttey.”

“If they are hooked onto our film, that’s all that we wanted to do with this trailer. Now, hope people will love what I have done in the film. I’m eager to see the response when the film releases.”

‘Kuttey’ is touted to be a caper that also has outstanding actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Tabu, Kumud Mishra and Radhika Madan in it. The film has been directed by debutant Aasmaan Bhardwaj, who is ace film-maker Vishal Bhardwaj’s son.

It will be released on January 13, 2023.

Arjun feels lucky to get great tracks in career

Arjun’s chemistry with Tara Sutaria in ‘Ek Villain 2’ has become a big talking point…reports Asian Lite News

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor is happy with the appreciation all the songs from his upcoming film ‘Ek Villain Returns’ is getting. He calls himself lucky to get great tracks all through is career.

Arjun says: “I have been lucky to get great songs all through my career and ‘Ek Villain 2’ soundtrack has just added some incredibly beautiful songs to my filmography. Starting from my first film, ‘Ishaqzaade’ in which I had ‘Chokra Jawaan’, ‘Jhalla Wallah’ and ‘Pareshaan’, to ‘Two States’ in which I had ‘Mast Magan’ and ‘Chaandaniya’, ‘Tune Maari Entriyaan’ in ‘Gunday’, ‘Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga’ and ‘Baarish’ in ‘Half Girlfriend’, ‘High Heels’ in ‘Ki & Ka’, ‘Tere Liye’ and ‘Proper Patola’ in ‘Namastey England’, ‘Hawa Hawa’ in ‘Mubarakan’, I have had amazing songs – dance numbers or soulful romantic tracks!”

He adds: “These songs became chartbusters and caught the fancy of people nationwide. In all these songs, I have had the pleasure of pairing up with great co-stars and thanks to the music, our pairing and chemistry have entertained everyone and it has been a talking point for the film.”

“So, I’m thrilled that Ek Villain 2 has an incredible album featuring songs like Galliyan Returns, Dil and Shaamat and I’m happy that people are already appreciating my chemistry with Tara, with whom I have never been paired.”

Arjun’s chemistry with Tara Sutaria in ‘Ek Villain 2’ has become a big talking point.

He says: “I have always believed that the longevity of a Hindi film actor is hugely dependent on the songs that he or she gets because songs make an unforgettable impact in the minds of people. With ‘Ek Villain 2’, I hope to make a little more place in the hearts of audience, thanks to the breathtaking music which is resonating with the youth of the country.”

Arjun excited to be a villain

He will be turning 37 on June 26 but it’s not his birthday Arjun Kapoor is excited about. The actor instead is gung-ho about his upcoming film ‘Ek Villain Returns’ and said that he is only excited about celebrating being a villain.

Talking about his 37th birthday plans, Arjun in a conversation said: “My birthday is full of villain because ‘Ek Villain Returns’ (releases) soon and I am only excited about being a villain this birthday. All my plans are revolving around being a villain and celebrating being a villain and bringing ‘Ek Villain Returns’ to you.”

Looking back, Arjun has had a “pretty fun year”. Now he has a gamut of releases coming up starting with ‘Ek Villain Returns’, ‘Kuttey’ and ‘The Lady Killer’.

Arjun, whose first job in the film industry was as an assistant director on Nikhil Advani’s ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ in 2003, said: “I have had the chance to play a complete villain and the release of ‘Bhoot Police’. I managed to shoot ‘Kuttey’ and I have just almost completed ‘The Lady Killer’. So, (I have) been able to be in three different worlds… Also and I am looking forward to a theatrical release. It has been a fun year.”

With a string of releases lined up, Arjun feels the responsibility.

“The pressure is always there but then excitement is also a lot. It has a lot to do with the fact that these are three films I shot after selecting them with a lot of excitement and care in order to make sure that I present myself to the audience in a new dynamic way. There is a lot of intensity in all three films,” said Arjun, who is fondly called ‘Baba’ by his fans.

The ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ actor describes ‘Ek Villain Returns’ as “very cinematic”. He shared that ‘Kuttey’ “has mad energy” and that ‘The Lady Killer’ has “the raw edgy intensity” which he wanted to explore.

“So, the pressure is to make sure that the audiences enjoy all the three films and my work comes across as different. But that pressure is good. One must always have that pressure while making a film…You can’t take the audiences for granted. Nervous excitement is the best way to put it,” added the actor, who is in a relationship with diva Malaika Arora.

Arjun says he is looking forward to see how the audiences react to him.

2021 and 2022 have been years of personal developments for Arjun. He is focussing on his health and has taken to fitness seriously.

“I think it has been a year of my personal developments also. I have learnt to take care of myself also… Yeah, so right now is the new exciting times. The year that has gone by will allow me to see the results in the coming year. So, looking forward to my hardwork paying dividends and love from the audience.”
