Katrina Kaif’s Toughest Career Training for ‘Tiger 3’ Revealed

Actress Katrina Kaif said that she underwent intense two months of training for her upcoming actioner ‘Tiger 3’, adding that it was the toughest in her career so far.

The actress has pulled off stunts and hand-to-hand action set pieces. In Tiger 3, Katrina will push the envelope of action even further and revealed that she has prepped for around 60 days before pulling off the larger-than-life action sequences.

Katrina said: “Tiger 3 shows that there is nothing that a woman can’t do when it comes to saving her family or a nation or humanity. A character like Zoya is important and necessary to tell people that girls can be nurturers as well as fierce protectors. Zoya is one of the most cherished roles of my career!”

She added: “I love how she can match anyone with her grit and courage. She doesn’t back down from a fight and she can be as good if not better than a man when it comes to doing action! Zoya’s style of action is also unique and she can pull off some very complicated action sequences with ease like the one you see a sneak peek of in the trailer! Zoya is pitted against an army of enemies and she fights all by herself!”

Katrina loves the fact that Zoya’s character is more fierce with every film. 

She said: “I love action as a genre and playing a spy is a dream come true! I knew that this was going to be a part of my legacy, so I always give my 200 per cent for this franchise. Every Tiger film has taken Zoya a notch above, and she has fought harder, and it has been bloodier. That’s the USP of the character, which I love!”

Katrina added: “For Tiger 3, my action prep was at least for about two months. We wanted Zoya to look agile, have more speed, and greater strength. I really had to go through the grind and it was definitely the toughest training of my career so far, when you see the kind of action that Zoya has done, you will realise that such sequences may not have been attempted by a women before.”

“Executed by some of the best action teams in the world, I’m super excited for audiences to see these sequences on the big screen,” she concluded.

Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 is set to release this Diwali, November 12.

The company unveiled its brand-new summer campaign, which stars the well-known celebrity in a bewitching new film that transports audiences to a tropical paradise where the beautiful Kiara Advani is dressed in a flowy yellow ensemble with her best companion, Slice as she sits next to a boy who is attempting to woo her.

Speaking on the association and the new campaign, Anuj Goyal, Associate Director, Slice and Tropicana, PepsiCo India said, “We are thrilled to have Kiara Advani as our new brand ambassador. Does it feel different now that you’re married ?

Kiara: Well, it feels no different. Yes, I’ve moved homes. I’m not staying with my parents. That’s new. That’s different, but I’m enjoying it. It’s exciting. It’s just overwhelming to be entering this phase of my life and I’m just happy.

You’ve had a spate of hits over the years, do you believe that actors like yourself can do OTT and films parallelly or do you believe there is still some time before you consider OTT?

Kiara: I truly feel I’m an example of this because very early on, even before most actors ventured into OTT, I took on an OTT film called Guilty, which released right after two big blockbusters Kabir Singh and Good News. I made the choice to do the film because I believed in it. And then came the entire influx of films going on OTT, artists making films and shows for OTT. So, I feel I was able to do mainstream and an OTT film parallelly much before it became a ‘so called’ trend. Having said that, I also do give a lot of credit to a film called Lust Stories for which I got a lot of critical acclaim and that was my first film that was released on the OTT platform.

When it comes to your favorite summer drink, why do you feel Slice is closest to your memories of childhood and what does it evoke?

Kiara: When I think of my childhood I actually do think of mangoes because as a child, we would wait for mango season and we’d wait for our mom, who would get the mangoes and we’d all be sitting around it, eating it, indulging in it, and the only way to indulge in mangoes even when it’s not in season is to get a bottle of Slice. So, for me Slice is that one drink that does complete justice to the mango and it’s my go to most favorite drink.

Happily married to the dream girl of his life actor and national crush Vicky Kaushal has explained how love evolves a person into becoming better professionally and personally. He minces no words when he says being with that special one is the most beautiful feeling in the world.

Vicky married his lady love Katrina Kaif in December 2021 after dating for almost over three years. How does love evolve a person?

Lover boy Vicky told in a conversation: “I think if you r with the right person who really gives you peace and happiness in your heart and mind it just makes you the best version of yourself and that best version of yourself is personally professionally anywhere you go it creates positive vibes and create positive energy and you give out the best that you have because you know you are with the right person and that peace of mind and happiness is here there in every cell body.”

The 34-year-old star added: “I think definitely being with that person is the most beautiful feeling in the world and being in love is the most beautiful feeling in the world and that only can bring out the best in you.”

Currently, he is gearing up for the release of his film ‘Govinda Naam Mera’, which is slated to release on Disney+ Hotstar, where he is stuck between his girlfriend played by Kiara Advani and wife essayed by Bhumi Pednekar.

Vicky is the son of Sham Kaushal, an action director in Indian films and Veena Kaushal, a homemaker. His family is Punjabi, who hail originally from Hoshiarpur.

Just like any other person, Vicky too is an ardent fan of Punjabi music.

“I listen to Punjabi music a lot. Punjabi music is my go to music for working out, for happiness and sadness.”

After ‘Govinda Naam Mera’, Vicky has a slew of films lined up for release, which includes ‘Sam Bahadur’, Laxman Utekar’s untitled next and ‘The Great Indian Family’.

‘Sam Bahadur’ targets to launch by 2023 Dec

 The makers of Vicky Kaushal-starrer ‘Sam Bahadur’ shared a sneak peek into the film by unveiling its teaser on Thursday. They also announced that the film will hit the screens on December 1, 2023.

Vicky took to Instagram, where he dropped the teaser of the film. In the video, the actor is seen dressed in the Indian Army’s uniform and walking amidst Army personnel, who make way for him. His face is not visible as his back is towards the camera.

Vicky wrote, “365 days to go… SamBahadur in cinemas 1.12.2023.” The producers also dropped the first teaser announcing the release date on Twitter.

Vicky Kaushal honours Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw on his death anniversary.

The film also stars Sanya Malhotra as Sam Manekshaw’s wife Silloo and Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. ‘Sam Bahadur’ is based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, and his career in the Indian Army over four decades and multiple wars.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film also stars Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, Richard Bhakti Klein, Saqib Ayub and Krishna Kant Singh Bundela, among others.

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal have been pronounced man and wife after one of the most celebrated marriage ceremonies of the year…reports Asian Lite News

The celebrity couple tied the knot at a private ceremony in the Six Senses Fort Barwara Hotel, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, with friends and family in attendance. The initial photographs show Vicky following Katrina and then the two waving at the paparazzi gathered at a distance from the venue.

Katrina wore a bridal lehenga crafted by ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee for her special day, Vicky is said to have worn a beige sherwani after his ‘sehrabandi’.

The couple also made it official that they would soon host a reception in Mumbai for those who were not invited to the very private marriage ceremony at Sawai Madhopur.

Vicky headed to the mandap in a vintage car with his baraatis, including brother Sunny Kaushal, good friend Angad Bedi and members of his family. The couple took the pheras in the traditional way, thus bringing to an end the celebrations that took off on December 7.

The pre-wedding festivities started officially on December 7 when Bollywood celebrities and close friends of the couple, such as Kabir Khan, his wife Mini Mathur and their daughter Sairah left Mumbai for Jaipur. Angad Bedi, Neha Dhupia, Sharvari Wagh, Radhika Madan and Malavika Mohanan followed suit and pumped up the tempo of the celebrations.

The guests were extended a grand welcome, served Rajasthani and Punjabi delicacies, even as the venue lit up the Sawai Madhopur skyline and fireworks added to the dreama.

The ‘mehendi’ celebrations saw 20 kilos of GI-tagged henna sourced from Sojat by the river Sukri in Rajasthan.

The ‘haldi’ ceremony followed, with the guests faithfully following the yellow dress code. This was when the media first got a glimpse of the guests in the corridors of the luxury hotel. After the pictures surfaced on the Internet, the organisers put up curtains on the arches of the fort-hotel to protect the privacy of the guests from prying cameras.

The ‘sangeet’ night was held on December 8 with Gurdas Maan, Hardy Sandhu, Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Manj Musik belting out their music to entertain the select company.

After a rocking ‘sangeet’ ceremony of Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, the traditional ‘haldi’ ceremony will be performed on Wednesday. And, sources have said that Vicky Kaushal will arrive in style at the wedding venue, riding a seven horse-drawn chariot.

The ‘sangeet’ ceremony was held on Tuesday night.

On the request of the couple, the 700-year-old Six Senses hotel fort Barwara situated in Sawai Madhopur district, has been decorated with a heritage look as the couple wanted something natural other than the artificial decor.

Sources said Vicky Kaushal would be riding a white-coloured chariot driven by seven horses.

The security of the wedding ceremony venue is being looked after by the company of Salman Khan’s bodyguard Shera. Shera’s company is looking after the hi-tech security of the wedding, said sources.

On Tuesday, in the sangeet ceremony, the bride and groom danced merrily on the trending dance songs.

The family and friends also shook their legs on the occasion. Fireworks and colourful lights lit up the fort.

Earlier, Sojat’s ‘mehndi’ decorated Katrina’s hands. Her family and Vicky’s family members also got mehendi done on their hands. After the mehendi programme that lasted for about an hour, the sangeet ceremony started.

The entire fort has been decorated with beautiful lights and lights.

Around 50 celebrities having joined the celebrations so far and more are expected to come on Wednesday and Thursday.

Vicky has a big, loving and warm Punjabi family on his side and his chacha, chachi, mamaa, mami are all looking forward to officially welcoming Katrina into the family.”

It might be a very intimate affair with only 120 people attending the celebrations but, the power couple has left no stone unturned to mark their wedding celebrations with utmost grandeur, “The wedding preparations have been in full swing on his side for quite some time now. It’s going to be a joyous occasion for both sides with both their friends and family getting together to celebrate the couple’s special day!”

“Katrina’s family has also specially flown down from London – her mom, her sisters and brother and her close group of friends. The most anticipated wedding of the season will take place on December 9 at Hotel Six Senses Fort Barwara, Rajasthan followed by a reception on December 10.

The wedding rituals of Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, who will tie the nuptial knot on Thursday (December 9) at Six Senses Fort in Sawai Madhopur, will start from Tuesday.

The couple along with family and friends reached the wedding destination on Monday night where they were welcomed with grand fireworks. They were offered garlands, and ’tilak’ was applied to their foreheads.

The sangeet ceremony will start from Tuesday night.

Earlier, since Monday afternoon the Jaipur airport was buzzing with activity as Katrina’s siblings and friends arrived one after the other.

On Monday night, a dozen guests came along with Katrina and Vicky Kaushal, who were given a rousing welcome at the Barwara Fort. Three luxury vehicles were arranged to pick up the family of Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif to the Barwara Fort.

Vicky and Katrina will stay at the Barwara Fort till December 12. After marriage, both are likely to visit the temple of Chauth Mata.

As per the sources, the couple will have a ‘sangeet’ ceremony on Tuesday night which will be followed by ‘Haldi’ ceremony on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Thereafter, on December 9 will come the D Day when functions like ‘Sehrabandi’ are scheduled. The couple will take ‘phere’ at 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoon and then there will be dinner and poolside party at night.

The couple will tie the knot in the ‘Rajwada’ style.

This marriage ceremony has been kept strictly private.

Alia, Katrina become lucky investors of Nykaa IPO

This week Nykaa had a stellar opening of its stocks which rose its market capitalisation to over Rs 1 lakh crore…reports Asian Lite News.

The stock value of early stage celebrity investors in lifestyle-focused consumer technologies platform, Nykaa have risen exponentially post the IPO listing.

The Indian film industry’s mega stars’ – Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif – stocks in the company have give handsome returns, and are now worth over multiple times their original investment, cited industry estimates.

In terms of the shareholding patter, Bhatt owns some 8,177 shares of Nykaa, while that of Kaif is estimated at 3,360.

At Friday’s close, Nykaa’s stock was valued at Rs 2,358.90, up Rs 142.65 or 6.44 per cent from its previous close.

Consequently, Bhatt’s stock holding at Friday’s closing price is now worth Rs 1.92 crore.

Similarly, Kaif’s share holding in the company was worth Rs 79.25 lakhs.

Industry insiders said that it is possible that there might be other provisions or entitlements that two mega stars might have with the company. The value of those are not readily available in the public domain or in the prospectus.

This week Nykaa had a stellar opening of its stocks which rose its market capitalisation to over Rs 1 lakh crore.

Listed at Rs 2,001 at the opening bell, the scrip, as against the offer price of Rs 1,125.

The bumper opening catapulted its promoters Nayar family as one of India’s richest self-made billionaires.

At present, the promoter family holds around 53 per cent stake in the firm FSN E-Commerce Ventures, which owns Nykaa.

The stake at the opening price of Rs 2,001 per share was worth over $6.5 billion.

Consequently, the promoter family joined the billionaires ranks.

The promoter family has stakes of Falguni Nayar, MD & CEO, FSN E-Commerce Ventures, Anchit Nayar, Adwaita Nayar and the Nayar Trust.

Akshay’s hard core drama in cop avatar

Cast: Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Jackie Shroff, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer, Vivan Bhatena and Kumud Mishra (Rating: ***1/2)

With the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai as the starting point, Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ traces the terrorist activities of a militant group whose chief, Omar Hafeez (Jackie Shroff), remote-controls their actions from Pakistan.

How DCP Veer Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), chief of the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad, along with his team, prevent Hafeez’s sons and the sleeper cells based across India, who are galvanized into action to destroy India, particularly Mumbai, forms the crux of this film that extends to two hours and a half.

While the narrative is strongly reminiscent of Rohit Shetty’s earlier films in terms of flavour and feel, this one is unadulterated entertainment with action, drama, and even a bit of romance thrown in for good measure. There are trite moments when the unity of India and its secular fabric are forced down one’s throat, courtesy of DCP Sooryavanshi’s sermons.

The film, expectedly, belongs to Akshay Kumar, who with his commanding screen presence, credible action, and charisma, hooks the viewers as Sooryavanshi. He may not be offering anything new by way of histrionics, but there is comfort in his familiar style and his action scenes are a treat to watch.

The scene where he is chasing Sikander Kher and lifts him onto a flying helicopter from a speeding motorboat is superbly choreographed.

Akshay Kumar is ably supported by an ensemble cast of actors which includes Kumud Mishra as Bilal Ahmed, Vivan Bhatena as Vivan and Gulshan Grover as Kadar Usmani, all of whom perform well, enhancing the quality of the film. Abhimanyu Singh as Riaaz Hafeez, the key leader of the mission and Jackie Shroff’s son, delivers a strong performance. Katrina Kaif as Sooryanshi’s wife, Dr Ria, merely adds to the glamour quotient.

Sleek action and daring acts with cars overturning and structures being blown off characterize the film, in Rohit Shetty’s inimitable style. Of course, one must not stop to analyse or seek rationale, else disappointment sets in.

The dialogues are powerful, hard-hitting, and seem real in the given context, and at times even succeed in arousing a patriotic fervour.

The background score, with ‘Sooryavanshi’ pounding your eardrums when Akshay Kumar is on screen, is a bit overdone, but the rest of the music, especially ‘Tip tip barsa paani’ from ‘Mohra’, is a mellifluous experience.

Other policemen from Shetty’s cinematic universe — Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgn) and Sangram Bhalerao (Ranveer Singh) — also make an appearance. The duo is actively involved in the action, albeit a bit mindless and overextended, in the last 15 minutes of the film. Ajay Devgn is his usual self, although Ranveer Singh’s forced goofiness is a tad annoying.

In its entirety, ‘Sooryavanshi’ is a thorough entertainer and Rohit Shetty’s indelible stamp is etched in every scene. If you love hardcore action drama, this one is for you.
