Be the best on your big day

It is essential to use the right SPF for your skin type even if the sun rays are not that strong in winter. Prolonged exposure to the sun can have long-lasting effects on your skin and is one of the leading causes of skin damage…reports Asian Lite News

One of the most significant days in your life is your wedding day. Being a bride is the most sentimental experience you will ever have, and this is the time you want to look impeccable since all eyes will be on you.

You would want to appear stunning and stand out, looking like you are straight out of a bridal magazine, with your stunning lehenga and immaculate makeup.

You prepare for your special day for months, choosing your outfits, jewellery, diet, and other specifics. You can’t possibly miss your skin in all this planning. In our efforts to look perfect, we frequently make serious skincare errors that may backfire on us. To save you from these blunders, Cetaphil’s team of skincare experts shares tips for your skin to look flawless on your wedding day.

8 Essential Bridal Makeup Brushes(IANSlife)

Timely Cleansing

Your face is exposed to a lot of pollutants including dust and dirt during the day. Cleansing is important as it deep cleans and gets rid of all the excess dirt, makeup, and impurities you’ve encountered throughout the day. This will help to keep your skin clear, healthy, and radiant. Without cleansing, your skin will be more prone to breakouts, dehydration, and premature aging.

Deep Moisturisation

The secret to glowing bridal skin is to have moisturized, plump skin. Your entire makeup look might be ruined by dry, flaky skin. A moisturiser can aid in retaining the moisture in your skin. Daily moisturizing helps lessen the likelihood of developing extreme dryness as well as excessive oiliness. Both extremes are damaging to the skin and are the root of frequent skin problems like acne.

Bedtime Skincare

Despite the hectic schedule linked with wedding preparations, do not neglect your nighttime skincare routine. As soon as you go to sleep, your skin begins to repair. The healing process will be substantially accelerated and made simpler by providing your skin with the right nutrients. To help you achieve radiant, luminous, and glowing skin, use something like Cetaphil Bright Healthy Radiance Night Comfort Cream. It contains niacinamide, which helps to reduce dark spots, and also has hyaluronic acid which contains rejuvenating properties that your skin will thank you for.

Sun Protection

It is essential to use the right SPF for your skin type even if the sun rays are not that strong in winter. Prolonged exposure to the sun can have long-lasting effects on your skin and is one of the leading causes of skin damage. The effects of unprotected sun exposure on your skin include hyperpigmentation, sunburn, dark patches, and sunspots.

Sensitive Skin Friendly Ingredients

Use products that are compatible with your skin as you strive to stick to a skincare regime to make sure your skin is flawless. You don’t want unexpected flare-ups ruining your plans. Niacinamide, as an ingredient, can increase skin hydration by preventing the loss of moisture and acts as a natural anti-inflammatory. For those with sensitive skin, this is a go-to ingredient to eliminate all their skin woes.

Only one woman in panel examining proposal to raise marriage age

A committee member said that it would be better if a few more women parliamentarians are members of the committee which is going to discuss the law increasing the legal marriage age of women to 21 years from 18…reports Asian Lite News.

The Parliamentary panel which will examine a bill seeking to raise the legal age of marriage of women from 18 to 21 and submit its recommendations has only one woman member.

As per the Rajya Sabha website, the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Education, Women, Children, Youth, and Sports, headed by BJP’s Rajya Sabha member Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, has its full complement of 31 members and Trinamool Congress member of the upper house, Sushmita Dev is only woman among them.

Of the 31 members, 10 are from the Rajya Sabha and 21 from the Lok Sabha.

During the Winter session, the government introduced the Prohibition of Child Marriage (Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha and it was referred to the standing committee on the opposition’s demand.

A committee member said that it would be better if a few more women parliamentarians are members of the committee which is going to discuss the law increasing the legal marriage age of women to 21 years from 18.

“Currently there is no vacancy to nominate new women MPs in the committee. But the committee Chairman has power to invite any one and we wish he will invite everyone for wider consultation on the proposed law,” said the member, who did not want to be identified.

The Union Cabinet passed a proposal to increase the minimum legal age of marriage of women to 21 from 18 years on December 15 last year. Currently the legal minimum age of marriage for men is 21 and 18 for women. The proposal was based on the recommendation of NITI Aayog task force headed by Jaya Jaitly.

Senior officials of the Health, Women and Child Development, and the Law Ministries were members of a task force set up in June last year to examine matters pertaining to age of motherhood, imperatives of lowering MMR (Maternal Mortality Rate), improvement of nutritional levels and related issues.

Mohey is one of India’s leading women’s bridal wear brands that redefines rituals by adding a new gesture of respect. A change from Kanyadaan to Kanyamaan.

Adding to the thought, the very revered Alia Bhatt shared, “I absolutely believe in this thought and this is something very close to my heart. I am glad that I could be a part of this film and convey a message that might bring about a positive change in the society.”

In February last year, Johnson, 55, and Symonds, 31, — the first unwed couple to occupy 10 Downing Street in such a fashion – said they were engaged to be married…reports Asian Lite News.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiancée Carrie Symonds are planning to get married in July next year, according to a media report.

According to a report from The Sun, Johnson and fiancée have sent wedding invitations to family and friends for July 30, 2022.

However, the wedding destination remains a closely guarded secret, according to The Sun.

In February last year, Johnson, 55, and Symonds, 31, — the first unwed couple to occupy 10 Downing Street in such a fashion – said they were engaged to be married.

Johnson’s union with Miss Symonds will be his third marriage. They share a son named Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson, born last year.

Symonds, a conservationist, and former Conservative Party communications chief, first found herself making headlines when she was romantically linked to Johnson earlier in 2019.

But her association with Johnson dates back to when she worked on his successful re-election bid at City Hall in 2012, The Irish Times reported.

The Conservative Prime Minister, who took office in July and won a decisive election victory in December, will become the first British prime minister to marry in office for 250 years.

To spread awareness, groom cycles his way to bride’s house

What made the ‘baraat’ different was the fact that all ‘baraatis’ went on cycle, wore face shields and face masks…reports Asian Lite News.

A ten-kilometre journey has been his ticket to fame and Vinay Kumar is now being hailed as a hero in his Bojhi village in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh.

Vinay Kumar, along with his friends, took his baraat to Rajgarh village on Friday.

What made the ‘baraat’ different was the fact that all ‘baraatis’ went on cycle, wore face shields and face masks.

Marriage.

“I wanted to give a clear message that social distancing is important. This would not have been possible in a car or bus so we cycled to the bride’s house. This is my way of fighting against the second wave of Corona,” he said.

Vinay works in a private factory in Pratapgarh and actively participates in environment awareness campaigns.

When the groom reached the bride’s village on the bicycle along with the limited ‘baraatis’, the local people praised him instead of ridiculing him. Locals were also seen clicking photographs and shooting videos of the unique ‘baraat’.

Vinay’s family members said, they took the decision to check unnecessary expenses during the pandemic and create awareness about environment conservation. They invited limited number of guests to adhere to social distancing.

Ajay Krantikari, head of Paryawaran Sena, an organization working for environment protection, said, “We have been constantly promoting the concept of ‘green weddings’ in villages, blocks and cities across the country. In the Corona wave, a limited number of ‘baraatis’ peddled from one village to another to spread the message of social distancing and wearing of masks.”

All the baraatis were wearing masks and maintaining adequate distance from each other while cycling from Bojhi village to Rajgarh.

In fact, it was Krantikari, who convinced Vinay and his family members to ride a bicycle to the bride’s home.

Krantikari said that more and more people are joining the Harit Vivah campaign across the state.
