In the first part of the film, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which was released in December 2021 and became a massive blockbuster, Fahadh essayed the role of Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, a cop who is set to have a major showdown with the titular character of Pushpa – Pushparaj in the second part of the film.

‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is known to have taken the box-office by storm during the third wave of the pandemic in India when the theatres were majorly shut across the Indian cities to curb the spread of the contagion.
The film still managed to beat the likes of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and the Ranveer Singh-starrer ‘83’ and emerged as a winner on the box-office.
‘Pushpa: The Rule’ will see Sukumar reprising his role as the director and also stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, the film is set for its release on December 22, 2023.

Most of the fans are waiting for the second part of Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa as it stunned the audience with its mass response in theaters. Actress Rashmika Mandanna has given an update on the sequel of the 2021 blockbuster ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.
The actress shared that while ‘The Boys’ (insert the soundtrack of ‘Bones’ as per the Insta reel ritual) Allu Arjun and other actors have started the shoot of the film, she will join the shoot next month.
She said, “The boys have started shooting, and I’ll be joining the shoot next month, so I’m really excited! And, the things that I’m hearing from the second half is (made the explosion sound). Really mind blown about how (director) Sukumar sir is coming up with these things, because if you watch the first half, you just feel like that is the story itself.”
She further mentioned while talking on FC Front Row, “But the second part is something much more than the first part and you’re like “wow, now that’s something fabulous!”
“At the same time, I think all of us actors from Pushpa 1 have seen our work in the first half, and now we’re much more clearer on what kind of a world we’re living in. So I think all our performances are going to change. I think the performances are going to get more intense in the second half. And yeah guys, it’s going to be amazing.”
Meanwhile, her ‘Mission Majnu’ co-actor Sidharth Malhotra broke silence on the similarities being drawn between ‘Mission Majnu’ and the 2018 film ‘Raazi’.
He said, “I think it’s never a bad thing when people are trying to use a reference point for a film, especially comparing it to a good film. Yes, the elements on the outer periphery of seeing a trailer might look similar, it is in the same decade, similar elements.”
“But, I think the experience is completely different. It’s only fair to speak to people once they see the film, the arcs…as I said, we’re only trying to give the elements which you need to decide to click, in today’s day and age, or to get engaged.”

Given the current trend, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is expected to outperform all other Indian film collections and set a new high…reports Asian Lite News
A year after its theatrical release around the world, the Allu Arjun-led ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ continues to hold its own, not just in India, but also internationally.
The blockbuster directed by Sukumar, which was released in Russia last month, has collected more than 10 million roubles or about Rs 12 crore.
The Allu Arjun-starrer saw its grand Russian-language release on December 8 and after shows in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the film has been running successfully in 774 screens with no drop reported in the number of screens till date, according to the makers.
‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which is in the third week since its release, is on track to becoming Russia’s most-loved Indian film of all time. And the Russian satellite rights to the film will be sold soon for another Rs 2 crore, unit sources said.
Given the current trend, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is expected to outperform all other Indian film collections and set a new high.
The highest collection for a Russian-dubbed Indian film thus far has been the Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff-starrer ‘War’, which grossed around 15 million roubles or about Rs 17 crore. Now, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, given the kind of response it has been getting, is expected to surpass this figure and become the most successful Russian-dubbed Indian film of all time.
The film has been screened under the category of ‘Block Busters’ around the world at the film festival…reports Asian Lite News
Even after almost a year of its release the Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ continues to make waves. This time the film has created noise on the international stage as it was recently screened at Moscow Film Festival.
The film has been screened under the category of ‘Block Busters’ around the world at the film festival. Taking to Instagram, the Embassy of India in Moscow shared Allu Arjun’s poster and wrote: “We gladly announce that the film ‘Pushpa – The Rise: Part 1’ has been selected by the Moscow International Film Festival under the category of ‘Block Buster hits around the world'”.
“The film ‘Pushpa – The Rise: Part 1’ starring Allu Arjun, Fahad Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna directed by Sukumar Bandreddi has created sensation all over the world and has stood as the highest grosser in India for the year 2021”, the embassy further mentioned in their Insta post.
From Allu Arjun’s popular dance number ‘Srivalli’ to his heroic screen presence in ‘Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava’ along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Pushpa has been a box-office phenomenon and can make well for a case study for a film that broke records at the box-office with practically no marketing and promotions before the theatrical release.
The film went to theatres with just a cold poster launch and limited digital engagement and gave stiff competition to ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, and effectively decimated the multi-starrer sports drama ’83’. Pushpa’s digital premier further took the film’s popularity to places unheard of.

Actor Allu Arjun is pleased as punch with his maiden theatrical release in Hindi.
Almost two weeks into its release in five languages — Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi — ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ continues to bring in the crowds to the theatres.
“It’s my first Hindi theatrical release. It’s definitely far more beyond my expectations. When we released the movie, we didn’t have much expectations. It is more like testing the waters. I’m so glad that we got it right in the first shot. It’s been amazing that we got our first shot right,” Allu Arjun told.
Known for the classy urban look that he cultivated over the years, Tollywood’s stylish star, as Allu Arjun is known, surprised everyone by opting for a rustic role in his first foray outside the south Indian languages market.
Although ‘Pushpa’ is his first offering to Hindi audiences, Allu Arjun is a known face, thanks to dubbed versions of his movies which are very popular in north India. His choice of movie and role was not a gamble, Arjun emphasises.
“I always keep experimenting with my looks for every film. This film is definitely very different from anything that I have done before. I was looking at it as a huge opportunity to do something very new. I absolutely didn’t look at it as a risk. In fact, I was looking at it as the USP of the film. We were banking on the look for this film. I knew if we get it right, it’ll be the USP of the film. We put a lot of effort to get it right. So, I think the credit goes to the director for bringing such a canvas and to get it right, and giving me full freedom to experiment as much as I wanted to,” Arjun said.
‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which was released on December 17, has managed to bring in the audiences to theatres, despite the release of ’83’ on December 24. And Arjun feels that the realism in ‘Pushpa’ has worked its magic across audiences in India.
“I can’t comment on ’83’ because I haven’t seen the movie yet. What worked for ‘Pushpa’, I think, is that it’s a mass film set in a very natural screenplay. I think that works for the audience. It has a very realistic treatment of a commercial film. So I think the realism connected across many other languages. When it is realistic, it has a more universal appeal. I think the realism in the film has caught the people’s imagination,” the actor said.
