Director Siddharth Anand, in a video released by Yash Raj Films, spoke about Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the cinemas after four years.
Anand said: “Directing SRK is a responsibility and it’s even greater now because of the break that he had taken and that has created immense expectations and excitement with his audience.”
“I am realising now, towards the end of the film into the release of the film, what and how large that fan base is. So yeah, that is an amazing feeling and it’s somewhere exciting because we know that we have hopefully made a film that they will be happy and proud of.”
About the electrifying SRK and Deepika pairing in ‘Pathaan’, Sid said: “Just the fact that SRK and DP have done so many films before and fortunately all of them have been really successful. It became a challenge to see how different can they look and so, our team really worked you know intricately to present them in a new way.”

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has become the only Indian to be named in the list of ’50 Greatest Actors of All Time’, released by Empire magazine.
Others who are named in the list include Hollywood stalwarts Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, Denzel Washington, Natalie Portman and Bette Davis among many others.
Pooja Dadlani, Shah Rukh’s manager, took to Instagram to share the news.

Shah Rukh in a career spanning over three decades has worked in iconic films such as ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Swades’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Veer-Zaara’, ‘Devdas’ and ‘Om Shanti Om’, among many others.
His next film ‘Pathaan’ has been surrounded in controversy ever since filmmakers released its first song ‘Besharam Rang’ a few days ago. Objecting to the lead actors’ costumes, many political outfits have threatened to stall the film’s release.
The film is slated to release in January.
He will also be seen in ‘Jawan’, directed by Atlee.

Filmmaker Siddharth Anand talks about the vision for the superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s cool look in the upcoming spy action film ‘Pathaan’.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan talked about his first experience of shooting in Saudi Arabia with ‘Dunki’, his upcoming actioner ‘Pathaan’ and why he believes there will always be a place for theatrical releases in the ever-changing content landscape at the Red Sea International Film Festival.
The mega star sat down in Jeddah on the eve of the second edition of the festival, where the star is being honoured. He had just wrapped ‘Dunki’, which he describes as “a story of people who want to come back home when you finally get the calling”, in Saudi Arabia’s Neom region, reports deadline.com.
“It’s a big journey film and goes through different areas around the world and finally comes back home to India,” SRK said about the Rajkumar Hirani-directed comedy.
Speaking about his experience of shooting in the country and its burgeoning film industry, SRK said he felt encouraged by the will of local industry to build and grow.
“Whenever you have a country that starts shooting and they are not used to making films, you have some teething problems, so I went back to the Ministry and we spoke to them once on the phone and they were so kind,” said Khan. “I think the nicest part is that they want to do it. When you are trying to make films, I think half the battle is won if you just want to do it.”
He went on to praise the “beautiful” locations in Saudi Arabia and its “hospitable people,” noting an “outstanding cultural affinity” between the nation and India and highlighting KSA’s love for Bollywood films.
Next year will see the release of ‘Pathaan’, his first film in four years, which also marks the actor’s first step into the action arena.
His hiatus, he said, was kickstarted by his desire to be more available for his children and, with his eldest two children in college in America, his constant filming schedule made it difficult for him to drop everything and visit them.
Speaking of his daughter transferring from the UK to New York, the superstar said he waited for his daughter to call for eight months.
“She never called me,” quipped the actor. “I didn’t sign any films and I thought, ‘Maybe she’ll call me, maybe she’ll call me.’ So, I called her one day and said, ‘Listen, may I start working now?’ and she said, ‘Why aren’t you working?’ And I said, ‘I thought you’d call me and feel lonely in New York.’”
Soon after, Covid hit, compounding the actor’s hiatus, and then he signed on to star in spy actioner ‘Pathaan’, from Yash Raj Films.
“I’ve never done an action film,” he said. “I’ve done some really sweet love stories, some social dramas, some bad guys but nobody was taking me for action. I am 57 years old so I thought, for the next 10 years I’m going to do action films.”

Speaking about the change in the theatrical landscape since the advent of streaming, Shah Rukh said that ” human beings by nature are social creatures ” and there would always be a place for movies playing cinemas.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was in Europe to continue shooting for Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’, where he will share the screen with actress Taapsee Pannu. Off work, he was seen posing with chefs in London and the pictures are going viral on the Internet. A UK-based culinary professional, who goes by the name of @beingchefhassan on Instagram, shared pictures where SRK can be seen posing with two chefs. The chef, a senior sous chef at the Tuscan Bistro, London, had earlier clicked a picture with SRK back in 2017 and posted a YouTube video of a pasta preparation that he had prepared for SRK two years ago.
Posting a set of three pictures on his Insta, the chef wrote SRK’s dialogue from ‘Om Shanti Om’, in the caption, ‘Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho … to puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai’.
In the pictures, one can see SRK wearing a pair of sunglasses with messy hair, a light stubble. The actor donned a simple white t-shirt which he rounded off with a black jacket.
Earlier, pictures from the sets of ‘Dunki’ had gone viral on the Internet as they showed SRK wearing a checkered shirt, black pants and a kada (wrist gear).
‘Dunki’ is being directed by superstar director Rajkumar Hirani, who is known for helming films like the ‘Munnabhai’ franchise, ‘PK’ and ‘3 Idiots’. His last film was the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Sanju’, Sanjay Dutt’s biopic.
Taapsee Pannu had earlier told the media during the promotions of her sports biopic ‘Shabaash Mithu’ that she had completed one schedule of ‘Dunki’ and that 40 per cent of the film has been shot in that schedule. ‘Dunki’ is set to drop in theatres on Decmeber 22, 2023.

Dil Hai Gray
The makers of the upcoming film ‘Dil Hai Gray’ have released the character posters of actors Vineet Kumar Singh, Akshay Oberoi and Urvashi Rautela. The glimpse adds intrigue into the roles as it is packed with intensity.
Talking about the movie, Vineet says, “The premise of the movie is rather interesting and I am looking forward to the response that the first looks posters receive.
“This is something that I haven’t done before, and that’s what truly makes this a rather exciting project for me, along with the fact that I get to work with the likes of Susi and ramesh sir.”
The movie narrates the tale of an honest police officer, played by Vineet, who is asked to tape calls of politically economically powerful people. Knowing secrets will harm many hearts that even about your family member, will break your heart more.
Akshay adds: “When I first heard about the character, I didn’t have to think twice before saying yes. The shades to my character will definitely allow me to tap into unexplored territory as an actor, and there couldn’t be any better story for me to do that.”

There is no evidence to connect Aryan Khan, son of actor Shah Rukh Khan, with international drug conspiracy, a probe by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has found, as per sources.
Also, there was no evidence to prove that Khan was a part of an international drug syndicate, the sources further said.
However, when contacted, officials refused to speak on the matter. They only said that there were some irregularities in the raid conducted on the Goa-bound Cordelia Yachat.
The matter is still being looked into by the SIT.
An NCB team headed by the then Mumbai Zone head, Sameer Wankhede, had conducted a raid on the Cordelia Cruise yacht where a drug party was reportedly underway on the intervening night of October 2 and 3.
Aryan Khan and a few others were detained by the team on charges of drug conspiracy and consuming drugs.
Khan was placed under arrest by the NCB team on October 3. After interrogation, he was remanded to judicial custody. His first bail was dismissed by the trial court. Later, Khan through his counsel, approached Bombay High Court which granted him bail on October 28. Due to legal procedures, he was freed from the jail on October 30.
So far, the NCB has arrested 20 people, including two Nigerian nationals.
The NCB’s SIT will file a charge sheet in the matter and is currently seeking legal opinion.

According to reports, King Khan’s birthday will be a quiet affair as police officers have been posted outside his residence.
Police officials have reportedly said that they have a message from Shah Rukh’s manager Pooja Dadlani, informing them that the superstar, his son Aryan Khan and other family members are at his farmhouse in Alibaug.
The news comes just after reports said Shah Rukh is planning to spend time at his Alibaug home after Aryan’s release from jail, according to reports.
It was on October 30, when Aryan finally walked out of the Arthur Road Central Jail (ARCJ).
The Narcotics Control Bureau had claimed that Aryan along with others, was prima facie involved in “illicit drug trafficking, procuring and distribution of contraband” banned under the NDPS Act.

In a rare gesture, Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan came out to greet his entire legal team which ensured bail for his son Aryan Khan, who has been away from home in detention and custody since the past 27 days, here on Thursday.
Sporting a casual white T-shirt and dark trousers, Khan met his battery of lawyers led by eminent lawyer Satish Maneshinde and his legal army which toiled since October 2 and finally ensured Aryan got bail.
A relaxed Maneshinde — who said “God is Great” after the court verdict this evening — shared the pix of the unusual meeting, but declined to elaborate.
It is also not known what exactly the beaming King Khan — who has maintained a dignified silence right from Day One — discussed with them, but all the legal eagles were happily smiling, laughing and apparently thrilled by the encounter with the actor in flesh-and-blood.
Bollywood comes out in full support

Although the full court order with reasons and bail conditions will be released by the court on Friday, the support for SRK and his son started pouring in from all corners.

Aryan Khan had been detained on October 2 from a cruise ship in Mumbai when a team of Narcotics Control Bureau boarded the cruise disguised as attendees to a high profile rave party.
In the order, ACMM Nerlikar noted that the accused (Aryan Khan) had accompanied the co-accused (Merchant) from whom the contraband drugs were recovered…reports Asian Lite News.
Spelling a setback, a Mumbai Magistrate Court on Monday extended the NCB custody of Aryan Khan – son of Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan and producer Gauri Khan till October 7, though no drugs were found from him during the rave party bust aboard a luxury cruise ship on Saturday (October 2).
At a hearing on Monday, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Court R.M. Nerlikar also sent the two co-accused Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant to the custody of Narcotics Control Bureau till October 7.
After several hours of heated arguments between the NCB lawyers and the advocates of the three accused, the court rejected the latter’s plea for bail and sent them to the agency’s custody for another 3 days.
In the order, ACMM Nerlikar noted that the accused (Aryan Khan) had accompanied the co-accused (Merchant) from whom the contraband drugs were recovered.
Seeking extended custody for the accused trio till October 11, the Additional Solicitor-General Anil Singh argued that links found on Aryan Khan’s WhatsApp chats point to an international racket.
Besides the 8 nabbed from the swoop on the cruiser, Singh said that one more person has been arrested by the NCB from Juhu and recovered ‘commercial quantity’ of drugs from him, and the custody of the accused trio was necessary to unearth their nexus.

Making a strong plea for bail, Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that he was invited by the party organisers, he did not pay for the party, was allotted the best suite on the ship, no drugs were found on him, but a small quantity of 6-gm Charas was recovered from his friend Merchant.
Merchant’s lawyer Taraq K. Sayed pointed out that the NCB remand application was absolutely silent on the quantity of drugs recovered from each accused.
At this, when the ACMM asked the agency, the NCB replied that small quantities of 6 gm and 5 gm respectively were recovered from Merchant and Dhamecha, besides 5 gm MDMA and 10 gm Cocaine found from another accused Vikrant Chhoker, but did not mention Aryan Khan’s name here.
Singh contended that though commercial quantity of drugs may not be found, the accused trio’s custody was required for a few days more to find out the links, who is the sources, how it was financed.

The NCB added that Aryan Khan’s phone was being investigated to ascertain his involvement in the consumption or possession of drugs, and Maneshinde cited past judgements to prove that commercial quantity of drugs found on someone else cannot be used to incriminate another accused, while WhatsApp chats can’t be used to frame the accused.
The trio was produced before the court after their one-day remand granted on Sunday ended on Monday.
