Ingredients
- Fish – 1 whole
- Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
- Red Chilli Powder – 2 tbsp
- Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
- Ginger – ½ tsp [chopped]
- Garlic – ½ tsp [chopped]
- Small Onions – 2 tbsp
- Fennel Seeds – ½ tsp
- Curry Leaves – 2 sticks
- Lime Juice – ½ tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – to fry
- Water – as needed to prepare paste
Method
- Clean the fish and make slits on both the sides.
- In a grinder add turmeric, red chilli powder, ginger, garlic, small onion, curry leaves, fennel seeds lime juice, water and salt. Grind this into a smooth paste.
- Marinate the fish with the paste and let it sit for an hour.
- Heat oil in a pan. Fry the fish on medium heat until it is cooked on both sides.
- Once the fish is cooked. Fry some crushed ginger, garlic and curry leaves in the oil for a couple of mins for some flavor.
