Ingredients for marination
- Chicken Lollipop – 12 [cut]
- Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
- Soya Sauce – 1 ½ tsp
- Vinegar – 1 tsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 ½ tsp
- Salt – ½ tsp
Ingredients for second marination
- Corn Flour – 3 tbsp
- Maida – 3 tbsp
- YaEgg White – 1
- Vegetable Oil – to fry
Ingredients for sauce
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Ginger – 1 ½ tbsp [chopped]
- Garlic – 1 ½ tbsp [chopped]
- Onion – 1 small [chopped]
- Tomato Sauce – 2 tbsp
- Chilli Sauce – 2 tbsp
- Soya Sauce – 1 ½ tsp
- Vinegar – ½ tsp
- Sugar – ½ tsp
- Green Chilli – 2 [chopped]
- Salt – a pinch
- Corn flour Slurry – ¼ cup
- Spring Onion – for garnish
- Water – ¼ cup
Method
- Place chicken pieces in a bowl, add pepper powder, vinegar, soya sauce, ginger garlic paste, salt accordingly and let it sit for 20 mins.
- For the next marination add the egg white, corn flour and maida to the first marination and mix everything well until all the chicken pieces are well coated.
- After 5 mins, deep fry the lollipop pieces until golden brown.
Method for sauce
- In a deep pan, heat oil on medium flame and add the chopped ginger and garlic, saute for a min.
- Add the onion and saute until translucent. Add the sauces with vinegar, sugar, salt and green chillies. Mix it well.
- Add water and let it boil. Add the corn flour slurry and let it thicken.
- Into it add the fried chicken lollipops, toss it nicely.
- Lastly garnish with spring onions.
