Find the change took 8 years!

The icon has been simplified/flattened by removing the shadows. The colours are brighter and the proportions are different, making the big blue ball in the middle noticeably bigger….reports Asian Lite News

Google is changing its Chrome browser logo for the first time in eight years.

Elvin Hu, a designer for Google Chrome, offers a first look at the logo’s redesign in a thread on Twitter.

“Some of you might have noticed a new icon in Chrome’s Canary update today. Yes! we’re refreshing Chrome’s brand icons for the first time in 8 years. The new icons will start to appear across your devices soon,” Hu said in a tweet.

The icon has been simplified/flattened by removing the shadows. The colours are brighter and the proportions are different, making the big blue ball in the middle noticeably bigger.

Google also is tweaking it further with different variations designed to look more at home on Windows, MacOS and iOS

“We created OS-specific customizations. We want the icons to feel recognizably Chrome, but also well crafted for each OS. For example, on Windows, the icons take on an obviously gradated look, appearing at home on Windows 10 and 11,” Hu added.

The new Google Chrome logo will be live for users across all devices with the release of Chrome 100 soon.

According to Hu one would start seeing the new icon now if you use Chrome Canary (the developer version of Chrome), but it will start rolling out for everyone else over the next few months.

Tesla postpones plan for $25,000 electric car

In 2020, Tesla announced plans to establish a new R&D center in China to build “Chinese-style” electric car…reports Asian Lite News

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has confirmed that its electric vehicle company is not working on its previously announced $25,000 electric car right now because it has “too much on its plate”.

During Tesla’s fourth-quarter earnings, Musk was asked by shareholders about the status of the $25,000 Tesla, the auto-tech website Electrek reported.

“Well, we are not currently working on the $25,000 car. At some point, we will, but we have enough on our plate right now, too much on our plate, frankly. So, at some point, there will be,” Musk responded.

At Tesla Battery Day in 2020, CEO Elon Musk announced that Tesla will be making a $25,000 electric car.

He made it clear that this new price point is achieved through Tesla’s new battery cell and battery manufacturing effort, which could reduce battery costs by over 50 per cent.

The $25,000 Tesla electric car, which is often referred to as the “Tesla Model 2”, has been likened to a new electric hatchback that Tesla has been planning to produce at Gigafactory Shanghai in China and export globally.

In 2020, Tesla announced plans to establish a new R&D center in China to build “Chinese-style” electric car.

Tesla started taking design submissions for its Chinese-made small electric car that summer and started hiring for the programme shortly afterward.

At the time, the automaker also released this early design drawing of a small electric hatchback. It led many to think that it was the design direction and form factor that Tesla is going for in the upcoming electric vehicle.

‘Techchnology advancement is new form of evolution’

With the second-biggest network of web users with over 680 million subscribers, India will prove to be extremely friendly to creative and talented founders, provided that we start accepting technological advancements as the new form of evolution, writes Dr Ritesh Malik

The ‘2020 Depression’ was caused not only due to just Covid-19 but also by the world leaders’ inability to contain the virus and a lack of foresight.

While the personal loss suffered by the victims and their loved ones is incalculable, the damage to the global economy has not been anything shy of disastrous either.

Dr Ritesh Malik

During the pandemic, the entire value-chain that is the backbone of an economy was disrupted, the labour force was drastically cut down and as the developed countries faced an economic downturn, a domino effect, combined with a vicious cycle that continuously shrank economic output, led to a global depression.

The tech industry, however, didn’t just endure this affair, but thrived. With an urgent need to maintain distance for consumers and businesses alike, a need to adapt to the network and be a part of the IoT emerged.

For businesses, having to reconsider and invest in technology was nothing short of an ultimatum against their very survival.

The second half of 2021 saw a boom for tech industry entrepreneurs to aid in the movement of conventional businesses to integrate technology into their business in the form of communication, manufacturing and distribution development. These immense opportunities for tech founders and unicorn companies do, however, come with accompanying execution pressure.

In India, profitability is still a far-fetched goal for most startups despite witnessing decent growth in revenue. It is essential not to let the desire for short-term profitability and a quick payout hinder the development of what could prove to be the pioneers of the next industrial revolution.

It is essential during this period that founders and investors look towards long-term profitability. Very few Indian unicorns have touched $100 million revenue and there will be immense pressure on these companies to perform. We have all seen that private markets & public markets treat valuations differently.

IPOs will likely prove to be a truly vital element of investment and long-term growth for private institutions. As the need for capital increases, so too, will the demand for short-term negative cash flow to ensure maximum utilisation of finances.

As 2022 approaches, we are experiencing more and more need for new talent and unorthodox approaches towards development. This will also require the government to alleviate the restrictions for the business industry.

ALSO READ: IT budgets to go up in 2022

The government holds a responsibility to its citizens to ensure that they opt to create and add value to goods and services in India only, instead of migrating to and working for other countries they believe will recognise their talents better.

With the second-biggest network of web users with over 680 million subscribers, India will prove to be extremely friendly to creative and talented founders, provided that we, as a country, start accepting technological advancements as the new form of evolution, and ethically work as a community to nurture creativity and intelligence.

Also, large businesses will need to be agile and adopt/acquire the DNA of what we call the ‘RESPONSIVE OS’ to ensure they sustain else we’ll have massive loss of value in conventional businesses.

In my opinion, by 2030, 40 per cent of Nifty 50 would be young dynamic technology startups, displacing conventional companies.

David Beckham gets new partner looks like him

Finally, a personalised nameplate with a glossy-matte effect appears in the centre tunnel between the two seats: the Maserati Fuoriserie lettering is pastel pink at the top, next to the Trident, and the italics “For David” appears with an aluminium effect at the bottom…reports Asian Lite News.

Beckham and the Maserati Centro Stile designers collaborated to build the MC20 Fuoriserie Edition for David Beckham after a bespoke and collaborative design process. This car is made completely of carbon fibre and is propelled by a patented V6 petrol engine adapted from Formula 1 technologies.

The starting point for this story is Miami, where Beckham’s US soccer team is based, and the ultimate result is black and pink, a chromatic contradiction as well as the interplay between glossy and matt surfaces. The team’s colours are black and pink, with contrasting glossy-matt finishes on the jerseys.

The bodywork includes a glossy black tone that contrasts with the Trident insignia on the grille and on the C-pillar, which are also black but have an opaque finish. The Maserati inscription on the back is also opaque, and the MC20 emblem on the door, as well as the Brembo brake callipers, are pastel pink.

The black leather and Alcantara inside features pink contrast stitching. Tone-on-tone laser engraving is used on the Alcantara backrests, and a three-dimensional pastel pink embroidery is featured on the headrest.

Finally, a personalised nameplate with a glossy-matte effect appears in the centre tunnel between the two seats: the Maserati Fuoriserie lettering is pastel pink at the top, next to the Trident, and the italics “For David” appears with an aluminium effect at the bottom.

As Klaus Busse, Head of Maserati Design, commented: “As car designers, our mission is to offer a holistic experience. This value guides our brand’s stylistic research, making each Maserati uniquely recognizable. Our customization programme is another example of our brand’s goal to create singular experiences for our customers: Maserati Fuoriserie is a blank canvas on which Maserati clients can write their own stories and unleash their creativity, making their dreams come true. Designing this special edition MC20 with David, as with all our Fuoriserie projects, is also an ode to the brand’s past, taking us back to a time when every car was hand-built to the client’s requests, giving life to a one-off, a true “fuoriserie.”

David Beckham said: “I have always been a car enthusiast, so being part of designing and creating my MC20 through the Fuoriserie customisation programme has been an amazing experience. Cars are about individual taste, whether it’s the model, colour, or small personal details on the inside. It has been incredible to collaborate with the Maserati team and designers to create this one-off car that is inspired by my second home, Miami, and my football club there. It is a joy to be behind the wheel. “
