Adding glamour to the Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s special puja ceremony, actor Ranveer Singh arrived in style. Making his presence felt at the event with his fashion, Ranveer graced the event in an embroidered ivory kurta set. He happily posed for the paparazzi stationed outside Ambani’s residence.

He greeted them with folded hands. The Puja ceremony was held at Ambani’s residence Antilia. Several Bollywood celebrities and politicians attended the puja including Uddhav Thackeray, Aditya Thackeray, Atlee, Sanjay Dutt, Jahnvi Kapoor, and Ananya Panday, among others. Reliance Foundation Founder and Chairperson, Nita Ambani, who is leaving no stone unturned with her fashion game, slayed the traditional look at the special puja ceremony. Clad in royal blue traditional attire, Nita Ambani posed for the paparazzi stationed outside her residence.She wore statement jewellery, heavy worked lehenga with bun hairstyle for the occasion.

During a conversation with paps, Nita said, “Aaj Shiv Shakti ki puja hai toh aapke liye prasad bhej rahi hoon” It seems like there is also a mehendi ceremony happening at Ambani’s residence as Celebrity mehendi artist Veena Nagda was spotted at the event. The Ambani family hosted a vibrant ‘haldi’ ceremony at their iconic residence, Antilia, in Mumbai. The lavish affair was attended by close family members and Bollywood personalities. Among the guests were Anant’s uncle and well-known businessman Anil Ambani, accompanied by his wife, the former actor Tina Ambani. Salman Khan, dressed in a radiant yellow kurta and black pyjamas, also arrived in style to extend his blessings to the soon-to-be-wed couple. His presence added to the star-studded list of attendees, which included Ranveer Singh, Ananya Panday, and Sara Ali Khan, among others. Earlier, Anant and Radhika took part in a Grah Shanti Puja ceremony. Singer Nikita Waghela took to Instagram to share glimpses from the event, including the serene moments of the Grah Shanti and Mandap Muhurat Puja.

The wedding festivities are meticulously planned, adhering to traditional Hindu Vedic customs. The main ceremonies will commence on Friday, July 12, with the auspicious Shubh Vivah, or wedding function and according to sources, guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the occasion by dressing in traditional Indian attire.
The celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad. The final event, Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception, is scheduled for Sunday, July 14. On July 5, the Ambani family also hosted a Sangeet Ceremony which saw participation by a constellation of celebrities. Global pop sensation Justin Bieber also performed at the sangeet ceremony. Earlier this year, the couple hosted a series of pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, which saw a star-studded guest list from around the globe. (ANI)

Pictures of bride-to-be Radhika Merchant from her Haldi function are out and undoubtedly her look is as mesmerising as ever. The highlight of her yellow ensemble created by Anamika Khanna was her “phoolon ki chadar dupatta.” The dupatta was adorned with mogra flower buds while the border featured yellow marigold flowers.

Fashion lovers have been going gaga over the dupatta ever since Radhika’s pictures from the function surfaced online. “How creative this dupatta,” a social media user commented. “Loved the dupatta,” another one wrote. “Unreal,” another user wrote. Radhika was styled by Rhea Kapoor and Sanya Kapoor for the occasion. She elevated her look with floral jewellery.

Ambani plans takeover bid for UK high street chain Boots

Boots, which has more than 2,200 pharmacies, health and beauty stores in the UK, could be valued at as much as $7.5 billion…reports Asian Lite News

Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani is reportedly planning a takeover bid for the UK high street chain Boots, a media report said.

Ambani is the biggest shareholder and chairman of retail-to-energy group Reliance Industries.

Reliance is reportedly working on the potential bid with US buyout firm Apollo Global Management, reports the BBC.

Earlier this year, the Walgreen Boots Alliance announced a review of the Boots business and reportedly put the company up for sale.

The deal could see Boots expand into India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, according to The Financial Times, which first reported the joint bid citing people familiar with the matter.

Under the plan, Reliance and Apollo would reportedly own stakes in Boots, although it was not clear whether they would be equal partners in the business, the BBC reported.

Boots, which has more than 2,200 pharmacies, health and beauty stores in the UK, could be valued at as much as $7.5 billion.

The Walgreen Boots Alliance, Reliance and Apollo have not responded to the development.

New twist in SUV case

A prominent leader and Bharatiya Janata Party MLA said that Sharma had reportedly approached the BJP government to reinstate his protege Vaze in 2016…reports Asian Lite News

As the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probes deep into the extortion racket, fresh evidence is pouring in on the close affiliation between suspended cop Sachin Vaze and his mentor, Pradeep Sharma, also known as the ‘encounter king’ of the Mumbai Police.

A prominent leader and Bharatiya Janata Party MLA told IANS that Sharma had reportedly approached the BJP government to reinstate his protege Vaze in 2016.

The BJP MLA, requesting anonymity, said: “The meeting took place at Hotel Leela Kempinski located near the Mumbai airport. Sharma, a well-known personality of the Mumbai Crime Branch known for executing innumerable police encounters, had personally come to the hotel for the said meeting. He requested a BJP leader to reinstate his protege and former subordinate Vaze in the police department. But the BJP government had outrightly rejected the request.

“After Sharma’s efforts turned futile, the Shiv Sena’s top leadership approached the BJP for reinstating Vaze in the police department. This request was too rejected on the grounds that he was involved in court cases of serious nature.”

Meanwhile NIA sleuths are gathering more evidence against Sharma who allegedly provided logistic support to Vaze in planting the explosive-laden SUV near Antilia, the multi-storey residence of top industrialist Mukesh Ambani in South Mumbai.

During his questioning, Vaze has indicated that he procured gelatin sticks, used as explosives in this case, through Sharma’s contact, a revelation which obviously requires documentary evidence to be proved in court.

Commenting on Sharma’s close relations with Vaze, BJP spokesperson Ram Kadam said: “I do not wish to comment on the criminal nexus of these police officers… But I can at least confirm that Sharma was Vaze’s mentor, a fact known to everyone in the police.”

Sharma, who resigned from his high profile police job to contest the Assembly polls on a Shiv Sena ticket in 2019, runs an NGO, PS Foundation, which has blessings of several police officers including Vaze.
