Google is rolling out a bulk select feature in the Gmail mobile app on Android and iOS devices. The feature is available to all Google Workspace customers and users with personal Google Accounts.

“We’re introducing a feature that enables you to bulk select a batch of messages in the email thread-list with one tap using the Gmail app on Android and iOS devices,” the company said in an update.

After clicking the select all icon, a batch of messages will be selected, enabling people to easily perform email actions such as deleting multiple messages or marking them as “read”.

“This feature is available now on Android devices and is rolling out now to Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains on iOS devices,” said the company.

You can also copy charts from the Google Sheets app on all iOS devices and paste them externally as images or within the same spreadsheet as a duplicate chart.

“In addition, you can modify text formatting using the contextual toolbar in Sheets when a keyboard is attached to iOS tablets,” said Google. This feature is also available to all Google Workspace customers and users with personal Google Accounts.

“We’re excited to announce a new featured app category in the Marketplace: Admin managed. These Enterprise apps can be installed only by a Google Workspace administrator for their organisation,” said the company.

Encrypted messaging platform Telegram on Friday announced the roll-out of a new Story feature on its platform.

The new feature will allow premium users of the app to post stories that can be seen by the audience of their choice, including non-premium users.

The Story feature is now available in the latest version of Telegram for Android, iOS, and Desktop. The new feature will appear at the top of the screen, right above the global chat search, which will allow users to share photos, videos, and text that disappear after 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours, or can be set to remain permanently on the user’s profile.

Users can separately choose people who can see the story. Telegram’s Stories will also support dual camera functionality, enabling users to capture photos and videos simultaneously with both the front and rear cameras.

Moreover, premium users can add more features to their stories, such as animated stickers, polls, and quizzes, allowing premium users to create more engaging and interactive stories.

Meanwhile, Telegram has raised $210 million from several investors via bond sales. The investors include its founder and CEO Pavel Durov.

John Hyman, Telegram Chief Investment Adviser, told TechCrunch that the platform raised the capital by issuing bonds worth $270 million because “interest rates have gone up significantly since 2021, the bonds have a different issue price”.

Chrome for iOS: Lens support coming soon

Users can now translate a specific portion of a page using Google Translate right within Chrome on their iOS device…reports Asian Lite News

Tech giant Google has introduced new features for Chrome on iOS, including built-in Lens support.

In the coming months, users will be able to “use your camera to search with new pictures you take and existing images in your camera roll,” the tech giant said in a blogpost on Tuesday.

“You can already use Lens in Chrome on iOS by long-pressing an image you find while browsing.”

The tech giant also introduced better translations for Chrome on iOS.

Users can now translate a specific portion of a page using Google Translate right within Chrome on their iOS device.

Chrome now uses artificial intelligence (AI) to detect addresses on webpages, the company added.

Users will see the option to view detected addresses on a mini Google Maps right within Chrome, when they press and hold an address.

The company further mentioned that Chrome on iOS users can now create Calendar events directly in the browser without having to switch apps or copy the information over manually.

Meanwhile, last month, Chrome had gained the top spot in the world’s most popular desktop browser, while Apple’s Safari browser ranked second.
