This year, King Charles is re-introducing the tradition of the monarch riding on horseback for the Trooping of the Colour. It will be the first time a reigning monarch will participate in the procession since Queen Elizabeth II in 1986.

The ceremony will feature over 1,400 soldiers, 400 horses and 400 musicians taking part in it. The monarch will receive a royal salute before inspecting the troops, who are clad in ceremonial uniforms and bearskin headgear. The military band will perform and the regimental colour will be paraded through the rows of soldiers.

As in previous years, the majority of the royal family is expected to attend the event. Prince William, Princess Ann and Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, are expected to ride alongside the King while Queen Camilla, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton along with her three children- Louis, George and Charlotte will likely ride alongside the procession by carriage.

The royal family will then assemble on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch a flypast by the military. A colourful flypast will be performed by the Royal Air Force as a grand finale. In addition to this, a 41-gun salute will be fired from the nearby Green Park.

It is to be noted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to the UK for last year’s Trooping the Colour, the last ceremony held under Queen Elizabeth’s reign. The ceremony was also part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations marking Queen Elizabeth’s seven decades on the throne.

Harry to attend King Charles’ coronation without Markle

Harry and Meghan, who is biracial, have alleged she faced racist attitudes from both the palace and the UK press. The treatment contributed to their decision to leave the country….reports Asian Lite News

Prince Harry will attend his father’s coronation, Buckingham Palace said Wednesday, ending months of speculation about whether the prince would be welcome after leveling charges of racism and media manipulation at the royal family.

His wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will remain at the couple’s home in Southern California with their two young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the palace said. A nearly identical statement from the Sussex’s representatives confirmed the news.

The May 6 date of the coronation at Westminster Abbey coincides with their son’s birthday.

While the announcement should silence the “will he or won’t he” debate in the British media, it won’t end the royal soap opera swirling around Harry and Meghan as King Charles III prepares for his coronation.

When the prince attended the funerals of his grandfather, Prince Philip, and his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, commentators discussed everything from whether Harry would be allowed to wear his military uniform to exactly where he was seated. And there is always the question of whether he will meet face-to-face with his father and older brother, Prince William.

That intrigue will only be heightened after Harry and Meghan stoked their critique of the royal family in a six-part Netflix series about their decision to step back from royal duties three years ago, which was followed by Harry’s decision to reveal family secrets in his bestselling memoir “Spare.”

Harry and Meghan, who is biracial, have alleged she faced racist attitudes from both the palace and the UK press. The treatment contributed to their decision to leave the country.

The revelations in “Spare”, including details of private conversations with his father and brother, Prince William, fanned tensions between Harry and his family that became public when he and his wife moved to North America in 2020.

The book also included allegations that members of the royal family regularly feed the press unflattering information about other members of the House of Windsor in exchange for positive coverage of themselves.

The prince singled out Camilla, the queen consort, accusing her of leaking private conversations to the media as she sought to rehabilitate her image after marrying Charles. Camilla was once reviled for her long-term affair with Charles, which contributed to the breakdown of his marriage to the late Princess Diana, Harry and William’s mother.

The acrimony between Harry and his family once again spilled into public view last month when the Sussexes said that they had been asked to vacate their home in Britain.

Frogmore Cottage, a royal residence on the grounds of Windsor Castle west of London, was the couple’s main residence before they gave up royal duties and moved to Montecito, a wealthy enclave in Southern California.

Markle, Prince Harry ‘uninvited’ to funeral reception

This is not the first ‘mix up’ with Prince Harry in the last few days since the death of Queen Elizabeth…reports Asian Lite News

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have reportedly been ‘uninvited’ to the state reception hosted at Buckingham Palace before Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. A new report has claimed that there has been a mix up with the invitations for the event for the couple, leaving them ‘baffled’.

Prince Harry is the grandson of the late queen, the younger son of her son and the new King Charles III. Meghan, a former actor known for her role in Suits, has been married to Harry since 2018. The two are known to have a fraught relationship with the British royal family. In 2020, they stepped down from their positions as royals and relocated to California.

A new report by The Telegraph says that Meghan and Harry “appear to have been uninvited to the state reception at Buckingham Palace” hosted by King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla on Sunday evening. The report adds that “it remains unclear why they had received an invitation for an occasion that Royal aides insisted they were not expected to attend”. The report quoted sources close to Meghan saying the couple was ‘baffled’ by the mix up.

This is not the first ‘mix up’ with Prince Harry in the last few days since the death of Queen Elizabeth. It was reported recently that Harry had been told he couldn’t wear his military uniform at the queen’s final vigil. In the end, King Charles intervened, giving Harry permission to wear his uniform, along with his older brother Prince William. In a statement, Buckingham Palace said “at the King’s request, they will both be in uniform”.

Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, died on September 8 at the age of 96. She was Queen of the United Kingdom for over 70 years, ascending to the throne after her father King George VI’s death in 1952.

Trump says Queen should strip Prince Harry, Markle of titles

Donald Trump Says Queen Elizabeth Should Strip Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Of All Royal Titles…reports Asian Lite News

US President Donald Trump has said that UK’s Queen Elizabeth should strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of all their royal titles. In an interview with television host Piers Morgan, which will air on Monday, Trump took aim at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and accused Prince Harry of being “so disrespectful to the country”.

According to a clip shared by Piers Morgan on Twitter, Trump called the Duke an “embarrassment”, adding that the Queen should ban him from even visiting her in Britain and tell him “Frankly, don’t come around”. When asked by the former Good Morning Britain host if he would strip the couple of their royal titles, Trump said, “I would”.

According to HuffPost, Trump, in the same interview, even went on to say that Prince Harry is “whipped like no person I think I’ve ever seen”. He said that he is not a fan of Meghan as well, adding, “I think poor Harry is being led around by his nose.”

Trump said he believes that Prince Harry would get bored of being “bossed around” or Meghan Markle would start linking “some other guy better”, the HuffPost report further said. In the video posted by Morgan, the former US President predicted that Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle will “end bad”. He suggested that the Duke of Sussex might return to royal life on “his hands and knees”.

In the video posted by Mr Morgan, the former US President predicted that Prince Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle will “end bad”. He suggested that the Duke of Sussex might return to royal life on “his hands and knees”.

“I’ve been a very good predictor, as you know. I predicted almost everything. It’ll end and it’ll end bad,” Trump told Morgan.

It is to mention that the full segment of “Piers Morgan Uncensored” is scheduled to air on the Fox Nation streaming service. But it has already grabbed headlines after Morgan said that the former US President walked out of the interview when he confronted him on his election lies. However, Trump later issued a statement about the interview and accused Piers Morgan of “unlawfully and deceptively” editing the clip.

Prince Harry, Markle visit Queen

His non-attendance followed a disagreement with the government over security protection…reports Asian Lite News

Britain’s Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, had a face-to-face meeting with Queen Elizabeth on Thursday, his spokesperson said after The Sun newspaper reported the visit.

The spokesperson said the couple stopped by the United Kingdom on their way to The Hague to attend The Invictus Games, adding that Harry had previously said he hoped to see his grandmother.

The Sun said Harry and Meghan also saw Prince Charles during a visit to Windsor Castle, which it said was their first joint trip to Britain since they quit royal duties in March 2020.

Harry, who moved to the United States with Meghan, did not attend last month’s memorial service for his grandfather, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, who died in April last year.

His non-attendance followed a disagreement with the government over security protection.

The queen, who turns 96 later this month, has been suffering from mobility problems and did not attend the annual Maundy service at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel on Thursday. She will also not attend an Easter Sunday service at Windsor.
