realme Set to Shake up Market

realme will be making a substantial stride in the Indian market with its upcoming smartphone — realme C65 5G….reports Asian Lite News

5G technology, while increasingly common in mid-range and high-end smartphones, is still relatively rare in the entry-level segment. This is largely due to the cost associated with integrating 5G chipsets into devices, which can drive up the price beyond what is typically considered ‘entry-level’.

As a result, many manufacturers are faced with a difficult balancing act: they want to offer 5G capabilities to attract consumers looking for future-proof devices, but they also need to keep costs down to maintain a good price.

This often leads to compromises elsewhere in the device’s specifications which can impact the overall performance of the device, leading to slower processing speeds, and potentially a less smooth user experience. While these compromises might not be deal-breakers for all consumers, they can make these devices less appealing to those who want a well-rounded smartphone experience at an accessible price.

Acknowledging this market need, realme is dedicated to bringing 5G technology within reach for everyone, especially the tech-savvy younger generation, with its forthcoming product.

A distinguishing aspect of realme’s approach to 5G is its profound insight into the varied Indian market. What differentiates realme is its steadfast dedication to making 5G available to all, particularly the youth who seek cutting-edge technology at a reasonable cost.

realme will be making a substantial stride in the Indian market with its upcoming smartphone — realme C65 5G. Positioned as the fastest entry-level 5G phone under Rs 10,000, this device exemplifies realme’s dedication to offering top-quality 5G technology at an accessible price point.

The realme C65 promises not only 5G capabilities but also robust performance, demonstrating realme’s commitment to delivering value to its customers.

In a country like India, where connectivity is crucial for economic growth and social development, realme’s initiative holds immense significance. The company is not just addressing the needs of today’s consumers but also anticipating the demands of tomorrow.

This forward-thinking approach not only sets realme apart in the competitive smartphone landscape but also reaffirms its dedication to empowering Indian users with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

With its new launch, realme is not just introducing a new smartphone, but setting a benchmark in the entry-level segment. The realme C65 5G is more than just a device; it’s a testament to realme’s commitment to bringing cutting-edge 5G technology within reach for everyone. realme said it is planning its growth around the expected rebound of the Indian smartphone market in 2024. The quick uptake of 5G technology and increasing demand for value-for-money products are key factors in this revival.

Even with global economic changes and rising prices, Indian consumers are looking for better value in their smartphone choices, showing a clear trend towards higher-quality products.

Through localized events and products, the brand fostered a strong bond with Indian consumers, addressing their unique preferences and needs…reports Asian Lite News

In 2018, realme set forth on an ambitious journey in India, driven by a vision to revolutionise the smartphone industry. Their goal was clear — to redefine the boundaries of innovation, quality, and customer-centricity while empowering localization.

Today, we witness the fruition of their relentless efforts, as realme emerges as a true trailblazer in the Indian market, leaving a lasting impact on the industry landscape. Let’s delve into the remarkable tale of realme’s transformation, where ambition meets reality, and boundaries are shattered.

realme’s path to success is built upon its “Spire Strategy,” a guiding principle that focuses on achieving groundbreaking innovations in performance, design, and user experience. This strategy is complemented by their dedication to the “Simple Better Strategy,” where they prioritize comprehensive innovations and strive to deliver top-notch experiences across their product lines. The four core product lines that realme focused on are as follows:

a) GT Series: Representing the premium flagship series and leading the fast charging trend, the GT series was aimed at delivering a superior and premium smartphone experience to consumers seeking top-notch performance and features.

b) Number Series: Positioned as the flagship series in the mid-range segment, the Number series targeted consumers looking for 5G high-value smartphones with leap forward imaging and master design.

c) C Series: Catering to stylish entry-level users, the C Series offered a perfect balance of design and functionality, making it an appealing choice for budget-conscious consumers.

d) narzo Series: The stunning smartphone series for next generation users that delivered a comprehensive experience, blending style and functionality.

Realme bumps up India hiring, Madhav to still look after India strategy

realme embarked on its journey in India with remarkable momentum, swiftly becoming one of the fastest-growing smartphone brands. Through localized events and products, the brand fostered a strong bond with Indian consumers, addressing their unique preferences and needs.

Within just three years, realme achieved an astounding feat, selling over 100 million units, solidifying its position as an established market leader in India. This transition showcased the brand’s adaptability and prowess in a highly competitive landscape.

However, the path to success was not without hurdles. In 2022, realme faced daunting challenges from global economic impacts, the Covid-19 pandemic’s aftermath, and inflation. Yet, the brand demonstrated remarkable resilience, opting for the difficult but right decisions when confronted with adversity.

By remaining strategically agile and determined, realme rebounded and continued its journey towards sustained growth and success. This year, realme won numerous achievements across a range of devices that have emerged as bestsellers in their respective categories.

These include the realme C55 which sold over 100,000 units in 5 hours on its first sale day, the 11 Pro Series that broke the highest first sale record in its segment by selling over 200,000 devices across all channels and the best-selling narzo N53 that broke records by selling 100,000 units in just 90 minutes, emerging as the Number 1 best-selling smartphone under the Rs 10,000 segment on Amazon.

Over the last five years, realme has remained steadfast in its focus on strengthening local manufacturing capabilities, in-line with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. With a vision to contribute to India’s growth and empower the local workforce, the technology brand has formed strategic partnerships with leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to manufacture various products in its diverse portfolio.

A significant achievement for realme has been its commitment to 100% local manufacturing of smartphones in India. Today, all realme smartphones are proudly manufactured within the country, with an impressive 60-70 per cent of the components being sourced locally. This localization effort not only helps it offer high-quality smartphones to Indian consumers but also contributes to India’s self-reliance in the tech sector.

realme has set its sights on achieving 100 per cent local manufacturing for the entire hearables and wearables category. To achieve this ambitious goal, the company is actively making strategic investments in the necessary infrastructure and capabilities. It is also exploring opportunities to start local manufacturing for its laptops and tablets in India, to contribute further to the growth of India’s tech ecosystem and bolster the country’s position as a manufacturing hub.

With all such initiatives, realme continues to empower localisation in India and expand its footprint to explore new avenues. The brand’s dedication to ‘Make in India’ remains unwavering, promising a future filled with more milestones in local manufacturing and strengthening the Indian economy.

realme’s journey of empowering localization in India over the last five years has been nothing short of impressive. From setting ambitious goals to overcoming challenges, the brand’s commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction has been the driving force behind its success.

By fostering strong connections with the Indian audience, embracing strategic agility, and localizing its operations, realme has not only become a prominent player in the Indian market but also established itself as a brand synonymous with trust and innovation in the global smartphone industry. As it celebrates its 5th anniversary, realme continues to inspire growth and progress in the Indian market, looking ahead to a future filled with leap-forward innovations and a growing community of dedicated fans.

Anchored by the “Spire Strategy” and the “Simple Better Strategy,” realme continues to strive for leap-forward innovations in performance, design, and user engagement across its product lines. In the fifth year of its operations, with unwavering dedication to providing comprehensive experiences, realme aims to secure its position as the premier choice of youth worldwide and move closer to its ultimate goal of being among the top five smartphone brands globally.

In the ever-evolving world of smartphones, aesthetics plays a crucial role in attracting consumers. While there are many factors’ users look for, curved displays in smartphones have gained popularity among users due to their unique style and potential for enhancing the user experience.

realme, the most trusted technology brand in India, has been revolutionizing the smartphone industry with its commitment to technological advancements and reasonable products. realme’s dedication to democratizing curved displays is driven by the belief that cutting-edge technology should be accessible to all.

With a strong focus on innovation, realme has made significant investments in the establishment of the Global Institute of Leap-forward Technology. This institute brings together over 60 tech experts across six major fields, including Charging, Photography, Display, Gaming, Chipset, and Industrial Design.

realme believes that everyone has the right to enjoy a better life in technology. In line with this vision, realme has democratized cutting-edge technology to make it more accessible to more people. realme has been at the forefront of democratizing curved displays, providing users with a premium experience at an accessible price point.

Curved displays offer a sleek and modern look, which appeals to users who appreciate stylish design elements in their smartphones. The gentle curve adds a touch of elegance and sophistication, making the device visually appealing. realme has invested $15 million in research and development to achieve a cutting-edge visual experience with a curved display, aiming to offer a flagship-level viewing experience.

realme took its first step towards democratizing curved displays with the introduction of the realme 10 Pro+ 5G. This smartphone showcased the company’s commitment to providing cutting-edge technology to its users. The highlight of the device was its 120Hz Curved Vision Display, a feature usually reserved for flagship devices. realme shattered the notion that curved displays were exclusive to high-end smartphones by offering this feature at an extremely reasonable price. This move received widespread acclaim and set the stage for further innovations.

Building on the success of the realme 10 Pro+ 5G, realme is now pushing the boundaries even further with the introduction of the realme 11 Pro series 5G. This new series aims to continue democratizing curved display technology, enabling more users to enjoy an immersive and visually stunning experience.

The realme 11 Pro series 5G promises to deliver an enhanced curved display with improved brightness, color accuracy, and responsiveness. It is the segment’s only smartphone equipped with a curved display. The 120Hz refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling and seamless gaming, elevating the overall user experience. By bringing these advancements to a broader audience, realme is redefining the concept of accessible premium smartphones.

realme offers this feature in their mid-range and flagship devices, challenging industry norms and creating a level playing field. Due to budget constraints, users no longer have to compromise on the viewing experience.

Moreover, the realme 11 Pro series 5G doesn’t just focus on the display; it combines a host of other advanced features, including an impressive camera system, powerful chipset, and long-lasting battery life. realme’s holistic approach ensures that users get the best-in-class performance across all aspects, making their smartphones truly exceptional.

As realme continues to invest in research and development, users can look forward to more groundbreaking innovations in the future.

Major rejig at realme

Realme is set to make the India announcement as soon as possible, as the domestic smartphone market goes through a churning…reports Asian Lite News

Global technology brand realme is set to replace India business head Madhav Sheth with a top executive from its China-based headquarters, reliable sources said on Thursday. Sheth may quit the company once the official statement is made soon.

The move, according to industry insiders, does not augur well for the company which cemented its position in a market which is highly-competitive at the mass level, with Sheth, as its India business lead, became the sole face of the company within a short span of time.

According to sources, realme is set to make the India announcement as soon as possible, as the domestic smartphone market goes through a churning.

Sheth, being a veteran in the field, clearly has a command over the local market dynamics — something that the upcoming Chinese executive may not have in his kitty.

Another worry for realme, according to industry insiders, is that a Chinese national at the helm may send negative signals to the Indian government which is already after Chinese-run businesses, especially smartphone vendors, which were allegedly involved in tax evasion running into thousands of crores.

Sheth, currently the CEO of realme India, VP, realme and President, realme International Business Group has been at the forefront of creating consumer products with trendsetting technologies, features and designs.

An award-winning global business leader with over 17 years of experience, he spearheads the company’s strategy development, product engineering, business development, market operations and brand-building initiatives alongside others.

Sheth is fully responsible for realme’s overseas business operation, reporting directly to the founder and CEO of realme, Sky Li.

realme GT 2 series set to launch on Jan 4

On May 4, 2018, realme was officially established by its founder Li and Sheth in India.
