Latest Diamond Jewellery Trends

Shea Luxe promotes stepping outside of the box to wear your style according to your personality by incorporating the top trends Shea Luxe Jewels has unveiled for the new year…reports Asian Lite News

For a variety of jewellery designs, diamonds are a popular choice because of their value as well as their beauty and brilliance. Diamond jewellery is a stunning way to display your individuality and grace. A gorgeous bracelet or pair of earrings is always the ideal way to complete an ensemble, and diamonds are the accessory that can be worn day and night all year long and is the most adaptable in your wardrobe.

Because they are regarded as the most valuable and sought-after of all precious stones, diamonds have a timeless allure. This is so because diamonds are uncommon and frequently linked to opulence and wealth. In addition to their aesthetic appeal, diamonds are one of the hardest gemstones due to their excellent facets. They are a well-liked option for engagement rings and other types of everyday jewellery as a result.

Every lady can find the perfect jewellery trend, from shoulder duster earrings to stacks of cuffs and bracelets, which range from traditional to contemporary, edgy ways to wear diamonds. Shea Luxe promotes stepping outside of the box to wear your style according to your personality by incorporating the top trends Shea Luxe Jewels has unveiled for the new year. The following jewellery trends can serve as a reference for the coming year, whether you want to reward yourself or a special someone in your life:

The Ultimate Guide to Cuban Links

Miami established Cuban ties in the 1970s. A Cuban link necklace made of barbed wire is a classic piece of jewellery. The majority of people have an interesting story to tell about this necklace. The barbed wire necklace shows how it went from being worn by criminals to being a fashion accessory and then being worn by famous people. There is a wide range of Cuban links available at Shea Luxe Jewels.

As cuban link earrings can add a touch of elegance to a casual outfit, such as a shirt and jeans, or team them with an evening outfit to add avant-garde to your look, we recommend pairing them with a simple outfit. Cuban link earrings can also be dressed up for events that are more formal, like parties or cocktails. Try them on with a cord set or a dress in black.

Totally cuffed

A diamond-studded cuff is the ideal illustration of how to use one piece to subtly create a statement. Cuff bracelets are demonstrating that they are the simplest method to improve any outfit. Even though the silhouette is frequently merely a large, arched curve, the impact is great! They serve as symbols of female power. Cuffs were used by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans as status symbols and talismans of protection. Diamond cuffs from Shea Luxe Jewels come in a variety of designs that can be worn in different ways.

Chokers

Chokers are a staple of fashion and aren’t going anywhere any time soon, that much is certain. The choker is still available in many jewellery designers’ permanent collections today and is considered a closet staple. Chokers can be worn on their own or layered with other necklaces for a more eclectic and personalised look. Try layering a choker with a longer necklace or multiple chokers of different lengths and styles.

Contemporary jewellery and chokers go hand in hand, so get in line at Shea Luxe Jewels to choose your favourite one!

Enamel Jewellery: A Pop of Personality for Your Outfit

Even though enamel is regarded as not very adaptable, enthusiasts of fine jewellery who understand the craftsmanship and complexity of enamelling jewellery choose it. The masterpieces are made in Turkey and Italy with an eye for detail and an unparalleled finish. At their very own factory, Shea Luxe Jewels does the same quality of enamelling work!

Whatever the occasion, enamel jewellery can be dressed up or down. Try wearing simple enamel necklaces or earrings for a formal event, while more colourful and playful pieces can be worn for a casual outing.

Stack Your Style

Stacking necklaces are another universal trend that Shea Luxe reinvents. The game of stacking continues to be popular in 2023, whether you’re stacking delicate pieces, heavier jewellery, or bracelets and bangles. The idea behind stackable jewellery is to give the wearer the ability to create a personalised and one-of-a-kind look by combining various pieces. This kind of jewellery is popular for wearing every day and can be dressed up or down for any occasion. Stacking necklaces with varied layers is a cool new trend.

Get in on the Hoop Craze

Diamond hoops are the top trend for 2023 and are an eternal component of any jewellery collection. Natural diamond hoops’ versatility with a hint of luxury is what gives them their fashionable indispensable status. Hoops earrings stand for totality, unity, and infinity because they are a perfect circle. Shea Luxe Jewels offers every conceivable permutation and combination of hoops.

A Pop of Colour with elegant Rainbow diamonds

This exciting fact has opened the door to a stunning collection of jewellery known as Rainbow Sapphires, which many consider to be the “Greatest of All Time” of all jewellery and represent the pinnacle of colour and sophistication. People who want to dress up their look with something bright and eye-catching often opt for this kind of jewellery. It is a great way to add colour to any outfit and can be worn for both casual and formal occasions.

Hand-set Sapphires in every colour of the rainbow make up the Rainbow Sapphire Jewellery Collection. VIBGYOR. Rainbow Sapphire Jewellery is your go-to choice throughout the year due to its seamless transition of cool to warm hues, which encapsulates the best of each season.

‘Boycott Bollywood’ trend and fringe outfits

Govind Parashar, national president of Rashtriya Hindu Parishad, said that the reason for the boycott was that Ranbir Kapoor had said in an interview that was a beef eater…reports Asian Lite News

The ‘Boycott Bollywood’ trend has given a new lease of life to hitherto unknown fringe outfits looking for a toehold in the saffron sun in Uttar Pradesh.

These outfits hitched on to the boycott bandwagon in 2022 and made their way to headlines by targeting new films and the stars.

The Sanatan Raksha Sena in Varanasi suddenly woke up to the fact that actor Aamir Khan had made fun of Hindu deities in his film ‘PK’, released in 2014.

Eight years after PK released, the Sanatan Rakshak Sen announced a boycott of Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ even before the film was released.

In Varanasi, the outfit went from door to door, asking people not to watch the film and even urged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to ban it.

A fortnight later, in September, an outfit called Rashtriya Hindu Parishad announced war against ‘Brahmastra’ and said that those who watch the film in theatres will get their faces blackened.

Govind Parashar, national president of Rashtriya Hindu Parishad, said that the reason for the boycott was that Ranbir Kapoor had said in an interview that was a beef eater.

The statement was made in 2011 and the Parishad woke up to it in 2022.

The Parishad’s call however did not make much impact and the film opened to houseful boards, albeit with security deployment.

‘Raksha Bandhan’, an Akshay Kumar starrer, faced a boycott call because some fringe outfits dished out ‘Hinduphobic’ remarks made by the film’s writer Kanika Dhillon.

The call, however, did not make any impact on the film that anyway tanked at the box office.

Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Liger’ faced a boycott call by Hindu Sena merely because its lead actor had criticised the boycott trend.

The call was not even taken seriously by the government and the film went as quietly as it came.

Then came Ajay Devgn’s ‘Thank God’ that drew protests over the depiction of Chitra Gupta in the film.

The Chitra Gupta Mahasabha announced a boycott of the film that did not progress beyond a few protesters holding placards for media coverage.

The latest in the line is Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ that has kicked a furore over Deepika Padukone’s saffron swimwear in the song “Besharam Rang’.

The BJP has joined the protests and this has made the government take note of it.

“We shall be ensuring security because the film is being released on January 25, a day ahead of the Republic Day and we do not want any trouble,” said a district magistrate.

The official, however, admitted that most of the boycott calls were essentially a means of garnering free publicity.

“These fringe outfits get some importance when they make such calls and protests are staged for publicity on TV channels,” said the official.

He said that most of these outfits do not even have an office and are run through WhatsApp.

The only time that a boycott call made a severe impact was in 2018 when the Karni Sena protested against Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’, forcing him to postpone the release date and change the name of the film to ‘Padmavat’.

Unique Kashmiri culture of ‘Pheran’

The traditional dress of the Kashmiri people is vastly different from the formal dresses in other parts of the country…writes M Ahmad

Costumes of Jammu and Kashmir are well known for their embroidery and intricate designs, which reflects the richness of the culture and landscape of the region. The form of clothing is designed to counter the cold climate of the region. Wearing traditional ethnic wears is a way of showing love, respect, and regard to each other along with acknowledging the traditional values that have been passing on to one generation from the other since ages immortal. Clothes aren’t everything there is to a person. But, association with traditional clothes is beautiful.

Kashmiris associate themselves with what they wear. They hold it as a dear part of their identity. In Kashmir, Pherans are something that are purely a part of Kashmiri history, culture &tradition. Since Pheran is unique to the Kashmiri culture and it is worn particularly to protect oneself from the coolest phase (Chilai Kalan-starts from December 21) in winter, December 21 is now being celebrated as Pheran day in Kashmir valley. It has stood the test of the time, flowing with it, overages. The costume of the region depicts the valley’s richness in culture and heritage. Owing to the cold climate, mostly wool or silk garments are famous among the Kashmiri population. The traditional dress of the Kashmiri people is vastly different from the formal dresses in other parts of the country.

According to Hiuen Tsang, a Chinese traveller, the dress of the Kashmiri people is similar to that of the Persians. The historical background of the word stays unclear. However, it as been derived from the Persian word for the shirt, “perahan”, the Greek word “cover” or even the Tajik word “peraband”. According to some sources, the Pheran was introduced by Mughal ruler Akbar when he conquered the valley in 1586. Pheran, a loose part of clothing, extending to knees or more, dissolving genders & age, is the traditional part of Kashmiri culture. No matter how the seasons change, culture stays, the roots etch deeper even if they are moulded in different shades & ways. Over the years, Kashmiris have experimented with the pheran so much that it has become a fashion statement in the Valley, especially in the winters as designer pherans are a rage.

The history of pherans is the oldest to say the least. As early as 15 century, it’s believed, pheran grew its roots in Kashmir. In early days, pheran was not just something one chose to wear, but also something that defined modesty “regard. In summer as well as winter, both men” women wore pheran. However, talking specifically about women, pheran became an important aspect of their lives. No matter what else they wore, pheran had to be put up irrespective of what season it was or where they needed to go.

The imprints of women wearing folded patterned sleeved pheran, with slits at elbow – Korab Daar Pheran are still there, but it was a beauty to see all the women wear pheran in the most simple way possible. Pheran making has been an art in Kashmir since ages now. There are pherans for summer, pherans for winter, pherans for specific occasions.

In winter, the pherans are made of Tweed. Thick & warm, they work wonders against chilling cold. In turn, to protect these from the extreme heat of kangri (fire pot), which people can’t do without in winters, a cotton lining called postch (khadir) is stitched to it from within. Tweed pherans are mostly simple, in fact devoid of embroideries. The way they are stitched speaks their style. Another one is Rafl Pheran. It’s gracefully light yet warm. Unlike Tweed pherans, these are embroidered mostly. Light & warm, these become a go-to for those who like it light. There are cotton pherans – the most light variety of pherans made specifically for summers. Tradition and season are both taken care of. There also are varieties of silk, velvet, but they are adorned with embroidery of various types to add grace to their beautiful textures.

Occasion defines the type & amount of embroidery done. For casual use, rafl pherans are embroidered. Aari embroidery, done with long needles, creating floral patterns bedecks rafl pherans – mostly the lower neck, cuffs & border of the pherans. Tilla embroidery – the most known, most graceful embroidery enlightens the pherans as well as the occasion they are put on. Tilla – golden or silver threads are tied together with needles to create patterns. In olden days, only elder women preferred Tilla embroidered pherans. However, its look catches attention of the younger ones too in current times.

The most notable use of pheran is immense warmth. It works as a shield against bone-chilling winter. Its extending & loose fitting allows a person to put more clothes before putting it. A warm gown, it could be referred to. Families, each member, in their own pheran, huddle together, sometimes sharing a kangri, & the conversations. Little ones often sit beside their mothers, seeking warmth & love while heat warms their insides. Pheran is an extremely essential part of weddings for women. In fact, pherans have etched so deep in traditions that it’s expected of brides to have at least one Till- embroidered pheran as they head out to their new home.

The “modern-day” pheran come with limitless possibilities. Whatever style & fitting works for you, you can get it made. And, today, every age group, has a pheran of their choice. It’s worth noticing that from informal garment, one that stayed in households or one that was put for informal gatherings, Pheran has journeyed towards professional places. Men as well as women, put pherans while going to offices. Girls, as well as boys, wear it to go to tuitions or for casual outings. Many teenagers also prefer a hooded pheran, “this has an additional feature of keeping their head warm against the cold waves & snow, too. Variety, such variety. The patterns, fittings” features of Pherans are evolving but the fact that Pherans are a part of Kashmiris remains guarded. And, Kashmiris are used to keeping Khensa (candies, & different little eatables) in their
pockets. Elders store it in Pheran pockets after buying it, children identifying the sound, in extreme anticipation look forward to it & after getting khensa eat it in their own sweet time. Little joys. Taste of sweet life in winters. And, the other thing worth mentioning is that jackets, sweaters, coats, & other clothing items that promise modern style can’t compete the comfort & warmth pherans are all about. Either they are limited in use or some of these are put beneath pherans. With different colors, designs, & limitless possibilities, Pherans are dominating the wardrobes, claiming different sections of it. Each reflecting an occasion, an outing, a time, a season.

Given the unique look and nature of the phiran, it has become a popular item of clothing even outside of Kashmir. The garment fits perfectly well in both modern and traditional forms of fashion and clothing. It can be paired with jeans and sneakers as well as salwar and dupattas. Not only are the different Kashmiri dresses known to the tourists coming to Kashmir, but they have been showcased time and again in many Bollywood movies such as Kashmir ki Kali, Junglee, Jab Jab Phool Khile, Rockstar, Laila Majnu, Teri Meherbaniya, Hyder, Mission Kashmir, Rockstar, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Kashmir Files, Kushi, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, The Hero etc .

Be the best on your big day

It is essential to use the right SPF for your skin type even if the sun rays are not that strong in winter. Prolonged exposure to the sun can have long-lasting effects on your skin and is one of the leading causes of skin damage…reports Asian Lite News

One of the most significant days in your life is your wedding day. Being a bride is the most sentimental experience you will ever have, and this is the time you want to look impeccable since all eyes will be on you.

You would want to appear stunning and stand out, looking like you are straight out of a bridal magazine, with your stunning lehenga and immaculate makeup.

You prepare for your special day for months, choosing your outfits, jewellery, diet, and other specifics. You can’t possibly miss your skin in all this planning. In our efforts to look perfect, we frequently make serious skincare errors that may backfire on us. To save you from these blunders, Cetaphil’s team of skincare experts shares tips for your skin to look flawless on your wedding day.

8 Essential Bridal Makeup Brushes(IANSlife)

Timely Cleansing

Your face is exposed to a lot of pollutants including dust and dirt during the day. Cleansing is important as it deep cleans and gets rid of all the excess dirt, makeup, and impurities you’ve encountered throughout the day. This will help to keep your skin clear, healthy, and radiant. Without cleansing, your skin will be more prone to breakouts, dehydration, and premature aging.

Deep Moisturisation

The secret to glowing bridal skin is to have moisturized, plump skin. Your entire makeup look might be ruined by dry, flaky skin. A moisturiser can aid in retaining the moisture in your skin. Daily moisturizing helps lessen the likelihood of developing extreme dryness as well as excessive oiliness. Both extremes are damaging to the skin and are the root of frequent skin problems like acne.

Bedtime Skincare

Despite the hectic schedule linked with wedding preparations, do not neglect your nighttime skincare routine. As soon as you go to sleep, your skin begins to repair. The healing process will be substantially accelerated and made simpler by providing your skin with the right nutrients. To help you achieve radiant, luminous, and glowing skin, use something like Cetaphil Bright Healthy Radiance Night Comfort Cream. It contains niacinamide, which helps to reduce dark spots, and also has hyaluronic acid which contains rejuvenating properties that your skin will thank you for.

It is essential to use the right SPF for your skin type even if the sun rays are not that strong in winter. Prolonged exposure to the sun can have long-lasting effects on your skin and is one of the leading causes of skin damage. The effects of unprotected sun exposure on your skin include hyperpigmentation, sunburn, dark patches, and sunspots.

Sensitive Skin Friendly Ingredients

Use products that are compatible with your skin as you strive to stick to a skincare regime to make sure your skin is flawless. You don’t want unexpected flare-ups ruining your plans. Niacinamide, as an ingredient, can increase skin hydration by preventing the loss of moisture and acts as a natural anti-inflammatory. For those with sensitive skin, this is a go-to ingredient to eliminate all their skin woes.
